Within IMPACT  various resources and tools were created to support educational professionals in becoming familiar with and applying COL – Competence Oriented Learning, VINFL – Validation of Informal and Non-formal learning and ECVET – European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training. Another focus of IMPACT is how the instruments mentioned above can be connected with open source learning technologies. IMPACT has implemented and tested a single sign-on procedure which connectsthe various platforms with different functions and offers. This means a learner only has to register once to be able to access all other instruments, though based on different technologies.

Check out what we achieved and have a look at:

• the IMPACT platform based on the Mahara e-portfolio software
• the IMPACT Moodle which provides an interface for online self-assessments of competence developments with LEVEL5

In addition the website Open-ECVET was created that offers a programme to document and test ECVET projects against the ECVET recommendations of the European Commission. Furthermore you can check out our anaylsis of good practice in ECVET projects against the specifications of the ECVET system.
