Building Bridges Between Adult Education and Mental Health

Creating inclusive international learning opportunities requires more than good intentions. It requires knowledge, preparation and cooperation between organisations with different areas of expertise.

Adult education providers and mobility organisers often have experience coordinating international learning activities but may lack the specialist knowledge needed to support neurodivergent and mentally vulnerable adults.

Meanwhile, mental health organisations and inclusive initiatives bring valuable experience in supporting these learners but may be less familiar with international mobility programmes and the opportunities they offer.

IMPACT aims to bridge this gap.

By connecting professionals from adult education, mental health and mobility learning, the project encourages the exchange of knowledge and the development of practical approaches to inclusive mobility.

This cross-sector cooperation is central to IMPACT’s ambition to build a European network of organisations that can plan, support and facilitate accessible learning experiences.

Together, we want to help make inclusive mobility a regular part of adult education rather than an exception.
